Eileen Bjorkman is the author of Unforgotten in the Gulf of Tonkin: A Story of the U.S. Military's Commitment to Leave No One Behind, available in September 2020 from Potomac Books. She has been a freelance writer since 2012 and her first book, The Propeller under the Bed: A Personal History of Homebuilt Aircraft, was published by the University of Washington Press in 2017. She is a retired Air Force officer and most of her writing is related to flying or military themes.
