About
I'm an entertainment attorney and a non-fiction writer in California. My clients include New York Times best-selling authors, new and mid-range authors, publishers, screenwriters, producers, and production companies.
My particularly specialty is negotiating, reviewing, and drafting option agreements for the motion picture and television rights to books. I have published articles in Filmmaker Magazine (including one entitled "How to Option a Book for Film Adaptation" which many authors have found helpful) and the U.K.'s Society of Authors blog on this subject and I have also self-published a useful e-book entitled "The Indie Producer's Guide to Optioning Motion Picture Rights to Books" available through Amazon and Barnes & Noble online. I have also published articles on entertainment law issues in Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine and West's 2014 Entertainment Publishing & The Arts Handbook.
I have worked for a major motion picture studio, top productions companies, and top U.S. law firms.
