Steven J. Venturino, PhD, is a Chicago-based writer and educator with varying amounts of time on his hands and an interest in literary and film theory, Victorian literature, and narrative. He is the author of the moderately bestselling The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Literary Theory and Criticism (Alpha/Penguin 2013), and his work has appeared in boundary 2, Diaspora, Social Semiotics, and in volumes published by the University of Minnesota Press and Duke University Press. Venturino has taught at Loyola University Chicago, the Newberry Library, and the University of Chicago Graham School. He is currently working on a Jumble.
