About
New Jersey-born Elizabeth Foxwell is an editor at McFarland & Co. interested in women's history and the history of mystery/detective/crime fiction. She also serves as the managing editor of _Clues: A Journal of Detection_, the oldest US scholarly journal on mystery/detective/crime fiction; and editor of the McFarland Companions to Mystery Fiction series. She has edited several mystery anthologies, writes frequently on mystery history, and is a columnist for _Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine_. She also edited _In Their Own Words: American Women in World War I_ (2015) and coauthored _The Robert B. Parker Companion_ (2005). Foxwell lives outside of Washington, DC.
