About
Marianne Berkes, national award-winning picture book author, promotes literacy achievement by combining science, math, language, music and art in her 20 (and counting) informational picture books. Having spent much of her life as a teacher, children's theater director and children's librarian, she knows how much kids enjoy "interactive" stories that make learning fun. An energetic presenter at schools and conferences, her books are "so much more than a picture book!" Her newest book The Swamp Where Gator Hides was also made into an App for kids. www.marianneberkes.com
