About
Hi, I'm Sheila McGraw. My career began in the sequin mines of illustrating for fashion advertising and writing ad copy and eventually led into publishing. In my blog at http://blog.sheilamcgraw.com, I touch on issues dear to both hyper-typers (writers), and paint-slingers (illustrators), of which I am both. I'm best known for my children's books, including the illustrations for Love You Forever (30 million in print) and a stack of other picture and craft books. While I am still writing and illustrating for kids, lately I've traded in the sandbox and animal crackers for a steamy hot tub and champagne, writing murder mysteries. An expat Canadian, I currently live in Houston, Texas.

The Knife Thrower's Wife
Coming soon...
Art imitates love, dreams, betrayal, revenge.
Cassie, a successful illustrator and chronic people-pleaser, is living the American dream—until she starts having nightmares of being cuffed to a target and maimed by her knife-thrower husband. Painting and analyzing images from her dreams, she realizes he has cheated and abused her for years. When his cutting ways inspire dreams and paintings of murdering him, her art brings the police and an unexpected threat against which she must save herself. Now there can be no more Little-Miss-Doormat.
