About
Anne K. Hawkinson is an award-winning author of historical fiction, mysteries, and stories that blur the boundaries between past and present. Writing for both young and adult readers, she combines history, mystery, romantic drama, and imagination to create compelling characters, immersive settings, and stories filled with unexpected possibilities.
Her published works include the Thornberry Manor time-travel series, The Ghost Writer, the medieval Scotland's Knight series, and The Mystery at Moz Hollow. Inspired by her travels through historic castles, centuries-old villages, and breathtaking landscapes, Anne brings a strong sense of place and historical atmosphere to her fiction.
A lifelong reader and storyteller, Anne grew up surrounded by books and creativity. Her fascination with history, art, and the written word eventually led her to earn a Master of Special Studies degree with concentrations in Art History, Creative Writing, and Photography, along with bachelor's degrees in Art and Art History from St. Cloud State University.
When she's not writing, Anne enjoys traveling, photography, baking, and sharing her thoughts on the craft of storytelling. She believes that curiosity and imagination are lifelong companions—and that the most extraordinary stories often begin with a simple question: What if?
Featured Work
Thornberry Manor - The Sapphire
In Thornberry Manor – The Sapphire, the boundaries between past and present grow increasingly fragile as Paisley Venne returns to nineteenth-century England. With secrets unfolding, relationships tested, and difficult choices ahead, Paisley must confront the consequences of a remarkable necklace that allows her to travel through time.
The third installment in the award-winning Thornberry Manor series blends historical drama, mystery, romantic elements, and time travel into a story where the past refuses to remain buried.
