About

Mette Honoré is a Danish writer, internationally published author, educator, and visual artist whose work explores the complexities of human relationships, psychology, philosophy, and the contradictions of everyday life.

Her writing has received international recognition. Her work was shortlisted in a literary competition organised by Hammond House Publishing and subsequently published in the anthology *Leaving*.

She holds a degree in Social Education and has completed 45 ECTS in Creative Writing at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). With more than 30 years of professional experience working with children, families, and human development, she brings a distinctive understanding of human behaviour, emotional complexity, and interpersonal relationships to her writing.

Her literary interests include fiction, essays, children's literature, and philosophical reflections on friendship, love, belonging, identity, and the human condition. She is particularly fascinated by the distance between what people feel, what they say, and how they behave.

Alongside her literary work, Honoré develops original educational concepts and publications. She is the founder of *Relationskompasset*, an initiative dedicated to strengthening human connections and emotional understanding. Her educational materials are currently being developed for publication in collaboration with the Danish educational publisher Alinea.

As a visual artist, she also explores human nature through expressive, contemporary naive illustrations, visual storytelling, and subtle satire. Her creative practice increasingly brings together literature, psychology, philosophy, art, and humour.

Mette Honoré lives in Svendborg, Denmark, where she continues to write and develop literary and artistic projects. Her ambition is to create work that crosses cultural and disciplinary boundaries, inviting readers to reflect on the beauty, absurdity, and complexity of being human.
