About

Darren B. Todd, CFP®, writes about church and ministry finance as a matter of discipleship. He has spent three decades in financial services and two decades on ministry boards and finance committees, overseeing budgets from $250,000 to $21 million across a San Diego congregation, two Christian schools, a Christian camp and conference center, and a parent-and-teen discipleship ministry. He serves as Chief Operating Officer and Board Member of The Summit California and on the finance committee of Grace Church San Diego, and he and his wife host a House Church of twenty-five to thirty-five people in their home each week. His first book, The Roof Doesn’t Wait: Church and Ministry Finance from Crisis Budgets to Generational Stewardship, is complete and endorsed by Ron Blue and Michael E. Batts. He lives in San Diego.

That is about 125 words, in the third person the Guild’s member pages use, and every line is lifted from the proposal’s bio. I left out the submission status, since a public profile should not carry a fact that will change. If the site wants it shorter, the first and fourth sentences alone make a two-line version.
