I'm the writer of the Templar series, currently 33 novels, the Bloody Mary series of 9 titles, the Art of Murder series with 3, and my growing Vintaine series of 6 and Holy Wars series with 2 currently, as well as a number of short stories and two standalone books. I have also collaborated on a number of projects with the Detection Club and Medieval Murderers. Over the yearsI've been published by Simon & Schuster, Hachette, HarperCollins and others in a career I started in 1994. My main publisher now is Boldwood Books, who publish ebooks, audio, hardback and paperback simultaneously.
I was organiser of the Crime Writers' Association Debut Dagger competition for a couple of years, joined the CWA committee, and ended up as chairman in 2004/5. Since then I have become Hon Secretary of the Detection Club. More recently I have started the Crime At The Coast festival for crime and mystery writers on the south coast of England.
I live in the far west-country of England, on Dartmoor (think of the Hound of the Baskervilles!) where I try to get out as often as possible with my Rhodesian Ridgeback and Bernese Mountain Dog.
