Dawn Dolan is a children's picture book author and the creator of the Maybelline's Antics series, published under her imprint, Barn Antics Books. The series debuted with Maybelline Has A Very. Bad. Day. and follows a spirited baby goat through the everyday challenges and big feelings of early childhood.

A former elementary school teacher and grandmother of young children, Dawn understands what makes young minds engage with a story, and she brings that insight to every page. Her writing career began in the wine industry, where years of marketing work taught her to craft compelling, concise stories that connect with an audience. She now applies that craft to picture books, drawing on the daily antics of her own goat herd for inspiration.

Dawn writes from her small farm in Sonoma County, where the vines meet the barn and she is surrounded by the funny, sweet, and sometimes naughty characters who find their way into her books. Her second book, Maybelline Makes A New Friend will be released November 2027, and a third, Maybelline Goes to Pet Day is due in June 2027.
