Retired December 2025 from a multi-decade career as Wall Street investment executive. During my business career, I worked from Southern California, New York City and most recently the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Settling in the beautiful foothills community of Carefree, Arizona. I've made my living as a professional in the finance world, authoring story of various forms has been a part of life since my teens. First published in weekly SoCal race publications at age 16, sold my first story to Hot Rod magazine at 17, considered the most popular car magazine for the hot rodding sub-culture. In my second year of college, (journalism) I was Associate Editor of Popular Hot Rodding, the second largest car magazine. Being in the magazine business then was like being an social media influencer today, getting free cars to test and traveling to race events on the publication nickle. For 10 years I worked as a writer/photojournalist for many automotive trade magazines. At age 26 until recently my business life as an author of hard back text books for the investment trade world. Academically, I was on scholarship in the California University system as a photojournalist, curtailed that activity making more money with the car pubs. Always wanted to write fiction, worked with a close friend who wanted to produce movies, we worked on some ideas and I wrote some screen plays. Never went anywhere for me, always falling back on making money in finance. My friend eventually produced 13 movies, last one was Kandahar. I met Michael Connelly, December 2023, we exchanged books, told him I going to write my first fiction novel. He said, be ready to go all fifteen rounds, I now understand what he meant.
