About

Alicia Gael is a retired criminal justice professor and probation officer. She started writing in the sixth grade on her father’s manual typewriter. She made up sweet romance stories (at twelve was there any other kind?) for her friends. However, when she entered middle school, sports became her passion, and she put the typewriter back in the closet.
In 2023, she traded in the typewriter for a computer and completed her first novel, Murder on Castaway Island, and at the age of sixty-four became a published author.
Alicia feels like her life has come full circle, she's finally doing the two things she's always wanted to do; be a full-time writer and live near the ocean.
Alicia and her wife make their home on the CA Coast. When not writing, you can find her kayaking, reading, and drinking Prosecco.
