Jeff Knight is an author, U.S. Navy veteran, cybersecurity leader, adjunct professor, and lifelong student of history. His historical novel, Frozen Frontlines: Alaskan Malamutes in World War II, grew from more than three years of research into the little-known service of sled dogs and their handlers during World War II. Inspired by the wartime service of his grandfather, the history of Camp Rimini, and Knight’s more than twenty years of experience with Alaskan Malamutes, the novel blends documented history with fictional characters to honor the dogs and people who served in some of the war’s most unforgiving environments.

Knight is also the author of Maya the Malamute: A Spark of Courage, a children’s book inspired by the true story of his certified therapy dog, Maya. He is the founder of Maya’s Spark of Courage Foundation, which works to provide encouragement and hope to children facing medical and personal challenges.

Professionally, Knight works in cybersecurity leadership and teaches graduate-level leadership courses as an adjunct professor. He is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Adult Learning and Leadership, with research focused on leadership in healthcare cybersecurity.

Whether writing historical fiction or stories for children, Knight’s work is grounded in research, lived experience, and a belief that stories can preserve history, honor service, and inspire courage.
