Ignazio Arces is a distinguished leader in the energy sector. He has been working for Eni since 1999 and is currently a Senior Manager of Eni. With a career marked by transformative leadership roles, Ignazio has been pivotal in the success of Gela's biorefinery, converting an old industrial site into a modern energy hub. He has also navigated complex challenges in energy transition across five Refineries in Italy (Eni) and UAE (ADNOC).

Ignazio's academic background is as impressive as his professional journey. He holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, an Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology from MIT Sloan, and a Master's in Politics and Management of the Middle East and North Africa from LUISS University.

In 2024, Ignazio's commitment to sustainable practices and innovation in the energy sector was recognized with the Bronze Stevie® Award in Sustainability at the International Business Awards. In 2025, he received the Silver Stevie® Award as Transformation Leader of the Year, recognizing his ability to guide people and organizations through complex cultural and industrial transformation. In 2026, he was awarded a second Silver Stevie®, this time as Maverick of the Year, recognizing a leadership approach that combines operational experience, independent thinking, and a willingness to challenge established assumptions.
