Neal Lulofs’ award-winning fiction has appeared in more than a dozen literary magazines. The opening chapter of a new novel in process was a Top 10 finalist for the 2026 Ploughshares' Emerging Writers' Contest, selected from thousands of entries. And excerpts from a recently completed manuscript, NORTH OF NORMAL, were nominated for the 2025 Best of the Net anthology and selected as a finalist for the Sycamore Review's Wabash Prize for Fiction.
