Sara Sobota is a writer and educator based in Myrtle Beach, S.C. She holds an M.F.A. in nonfiction from the Bennington Writing Seminars. Her work includes the cookbook Bonjour, Y’all and appears in the literary anthology Write Home: Letters to a Younger Me and The Villa, A Myrtle Beach Story. She serves as associate nonfiction editor with Waccamaw literary journal and nonfiction editor with The Petigru Review, the literary journal of the South Carolina Writers Association. Sara’s memoir, Is This Part of the Program? has been supported by the South Carolina Arts Commission. She teaches and writes at Coastal Carolina University as principal lecturer of English and editor/lead writer of Tapestry, the alumni magazine of the Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts.
