I am an EMDR trauma therapist in Western Massachusetts who writes about trauma, trauma recovery, and gender equality (peterpruyn.medium.com). I have a particular interest in the relationship between trauma and women's health (emdrforwomenshealth.com). I have completed a manuscript with the working title of "EMDR Stories: Women's Journeys of Healing, Health, and Hope" and am currently looking for a publisher.

Peter's Psycho-Ed Handouts: Client Handouts and Therapist Resources for Trauma, EMDR, and General Psychotherapy, 3rd Edition
As a trauma therapist and EMDR Consultant, whenever I realize that I've given the same psycho-educational mini-lecture to multiple clients, I create a one-page handout that summarizes the topic. After doing this for seven years, I have more than thirty handouts. At the encouragement of colleagues, I put them together in a collection for other therapists to use with their clients. These handouts cover three broad areas: handouts about trauma treatment and recovery; handouts about EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing); and general psychotherapy. The page opposite each handout contains notes for therapists about the origins and use of the handout. This third edition includes refinements to many of the handouts based on reader feedback, as well as the addition of a new handout on forgiveness.
