About

Jay A. Blum is an author, publisher, and MBA whose work spans technical nonfiction, memoir, and military science fiction. His earlier titles include *The Internet as a Marketing Environment*, which drew upon his experience in business, technology, and marketing, and *Over the Ocean and to the Links: A Golfer’s Journey*, a memoir co-authored with Jeff Foulk about an unconventional pilgrimage to Scotland and the legendary courses where golf began.

Before turning his attention to speculative fiction, Jay spent more than two decades as a business and marketing consultant. His work included extensive projects with the United States Navy and firsthand experience aboard aircraft carriers, destroyers, and a submarine. That exposure to naval operations, advanced technology, and life at sea now lends authenticity to the ships, characters, and military culture of *The Vigilant Wars*.

Jay is the founder of Blind Author Publishing and the author of *The Long Silence Breaks*, the opening novel in *The Vigilant Wars*. His character-driven science fiction explores artificial intelligence, political hesitation, ancient dangers, and ordinary people confronting impossible choices. He lives in Northeast Ohio, where he continues writing the remaining novels in the trilogy.
