About
I am an architect turned author during the restoration of my Victorian Farmhouse in Redlands California. My book The House on Mariposa Drive will be published in July 2027 by She Writes Press. The book is about the restoration of the house and my life, after surviving Lupus, Cancer, Divorce and Clinical Depression. When I am not writing I design Theme Parks around the world. I was born in Mexico and moved to the US permanently the day after my 12th birthday. I am a public and inspirational speaker.

The House on Mariposa Drive
Mariposas is a feel-good memoir depicting the journey of a house, Blue Hill and a woman, Thelma. The house is over a hundred years old in desperate need of loving hands to bring her back to life. Thelma is a woman that has survived over a hundred challenges and yet, remains strong. As Thelma brings this house back to life, she makes sense of the life she has lived and finds joy and strength in the most ordinarily beautiful things, her garden, the floor beneath her and walls that surround her. She finds her way back to her family roots and faces the challenges she has overcome and have made her who she is today, along with her soulmate, Juan.
