About

Amy R. Marsh, Ed.D., is a fantasy fiction and nonfiction author as well as a freelance nonfiction writer. Marsh also works as a board certified clinical sexologist, certified hypnotist, hypnosis instructor, and educator. Marsh earned two doctorates in human sexuality at the legendary (and now defunct) Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco. Later, ze founded the Intimate Hypnosis Training Center, an online education site for clinicians. Zir self-published nonfiction explores a broad range of human sexuality and relationship topics; sex tech, including AI/human interactions; and hypnosis. Marsh was a regular contributor to Future of Sex dot net from 2023-2026 and has written for Scarleteen and other sex-positive publications. Marsh's contemporary fantasy fiction draws on queer and punk rock perspectives, humor, social satire, and magical realism, among other elements. Zir "Guild of Ornamental Hermits" series: The Dire Deeds, The Witching Work, The Queerest Quest, and The Perilous Past, were published by Strange Particle Press, an imprint of Digital Parchment Services. Marsh's work also includes various blogs, two Substacks, and Fantasy Free Me, a new podcast focused on fantasy fiction.
