Featured Work
The Perilous Past
4th book in The Guild of Ornamental Hermits series. Contemporary fantasy set in present-day Oregon and 16th century England, a saga of mid-life magic. It continues the adventures of the "Hermits of Hermitville," a group of mostly queer, aging, arty misfits who were forced to flee Hermitville, their "farm and arts collective" in. Pahoa, Hawai'i, after battling human and preternatural adversaries. The plot of The Perilous Past includes the origin of the original guild, as an Elven/Human mystery school and blends present day with history via time snatches and magic. It even returns the reader, briefly, to Pahoa in the Puna district of Hawai'i Island. [This series is transitioning from Digital Parchment Services to another publisher and is currently unavailable on Amazon.]
