About
Jeffrey Alan Rapaport is an American inventor and author. Over three decades he designed and patented systems that model a person and act on that model — routing and adapting medical information with secure protocols to the various stakeholders including the patient and doctor. His patents in social networking, deciding which posts, promotions, and people reach a person. That work anticipated, years early, the machinery the modern social world now runs on; one of his social-networking patents has since been cited by more than a thousand later patents, including filings from many of the largest technology companies.
He has completed a trilogy of literary nonfiction on the worth of a human being in the age of intelligent machines — the confession of an inventor who helped build the attention machinery, and a reckoning with what no machine can take. Publication is expected in 2026. His earlier published writing includes technology articles from the start of his career. He has also published articles for an Artificial Intelligence magazine, PC-AI.
He holds a Bachelor of Science from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley (1995).
