About
C. W. Höjer teaches literature, philosophy, Latin, and history at a Catholic classical academy in theAmerican Midwest. He holds his theological and philosophical formation from the Pontifical University of Saint ThomasAquinas — the Angelicum — in Rome, where he also served for seven years as a news editor at VaticanRadio and, informally, as a cultural guide through the basilicas, libraries, and lesser-known churches of the city. His intellectual formation is divided between the Italian tradition (Dante, Manzoni, the classical
Catholic philosophical inheritance through Aquinas and Pieper) and the Northern European literary tradition (Goethe, Sebald, Blixen, André Bjerke).
