Robert Barsanti taught in the Berkshires. He has two boys who live on Nantucket and a failing golf game that draws hoots and catcalls from passing cars. He writes about teaching, Nantucket, and his increasingly aging point of view.
He has published a set of essay collections taken from his writings for Yesterday's Island.
More recently, he has published a set of mystery novels set on Nantucket. Inspector Henry Coffin, a Quaker policeman and a walking contradiction leads all four works. The most recent work, The Boy Who Climbed the Windmill, comes out in March.
Accompanying each of those novels, he has also written several novellas which follow some of the characters out of one book and into another.
