About

Amelia Perkins deMuth is a transgender woman, poet, storyteller, mother, and architect living in Columbus, Ohio. Her work explores trauma, transition, memory, grief, survival, intimacy, and the strange beauty of becoming whole after rupture. Drawing from lived experience, chronic illness, motherhood, queer community, and a life shaped by empathy and resilience, she writes toward tenderness without denying the bruise.

Her debut collection, Beautiful and Bruised: A Look Inside, is a lyric record of reconciliation, restoration, and truth. Her continuing work asks what can grow from pain when it is held in darkness, tended with care, and transformed into kindness.
