About

I started my career as a critical care nurse, then taught graduate and undergraduate courses in informatics, research, and leadership. I served as the
chief student affairs officer at a health sciences university for several years before returning to teaching full time.
My first book, “Poetic Reflections on Polygamy” was based on what I learned after becoming a guardian to a 16 year old teen, fleeing an arranged marriage. I published the book on Kindle to learn the self publishing process and to explore the FLDS polygamist life style in southern Utah in the 1990s.

My next book was “Inside my Husband’s Closet”, released April 16, 2024. This memoir reflects on my experiences in the first year after my husband (now wife) came out as trans. My two current works in progress are crime fiction. Both were inspired by cold cases, proposing a fictional solution before they were solved by the police. I'm not very good at predicting the future.

My wife and I are retired and make our home in north-eastern Georgia.
