About
Anne Page McClard is the author of two novels, Butterfly Dreams and Margaux and the Vicious Circle, and the YA novella Sunny & Ahmed. Butterfly Dreams was a finalist for the Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Award and received a Silver Medal from the Independent Publishers of New England Book Awards, both in 2024. She is a co-founder of Aristata Press.
Anne holds a Ph.D. in anthropology and is deeply involved in songwriting, old-time, and bluegrass music. Her work is animated by the ways stories, songs, and communities preserve histories that might otherwise be lost.
She co-founded of the nonprofit publisher Aristata Press, established in 2020. Aristata Press is a woman-owned all-volunteer press dedicated to bringing compelling stories to life. We founded Aristata Press to share stories that matter by authors that otherwise would not have access to traditional or self-publishing.
