About

A 1973 graduate of NYU Law, I've been an employment lawyer for 50+ years, specializing for most of my career in representing employees, unions, and federal agencies in legal matters affecting federal employment and labor relations. Along the way I have done a lot of teaching, in a CLE format, to assist other lawyers in understanding the complexities of the work. Also along the way I have written a couple principal books in the field: "A Guide to Merit Systems Protection Board Law and Practice," and "A Guide to Federal Labor Relations Authority Law and Practice," both tomes widely used in the field. Other publications, podcasts, and newsletters that I have prepared are found at www.deweypub.com. Dewey Publications, Inc., of Arlington, Virginia, prepares the books for print and sells the books, and those of other authors, to lawyers, libraries, unions, and government agencies. The books are also assembled and sold in digital (pdf) format, and Dewey licenses the book for digital distribution to a commercial on-line service for practitioners. The two large books that I write are annually updated with new case law and regulatory or statutory changes. Each of the Guides has been in publication, or republication, for more than 40 years.
