About
I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1968 and I write primarily in Spanish, my native language. My journey into coming-of-age literature began in 2014. The books I have published include 'Amigos orientales' (2017) and 'Tres terribles tigres' (2020). I am a member of www.letrasypoesia.com, a collective focused on Spanish-language literature.
Additionally, I work as a professional translator for English to Spanish and German to Spanish language pairs. I am eager to engage in translation projects that capture my interest.
Featured Work
Amigos orientales
A Syrian teenager named Amir arrives in Montevideo and, thanks to his exceptional goalkeeping skills, joins his neighborhood soccer team and wins over its fans. This book sheds light on issues facing teens that many adults fail to recognize. In an era when entire communities are displaced by wars, famine, epidemics, and evil, this book aims to bring light and hope. It seeks to show the world the spirit of unity that we Uruguayans take pride in. It bears witness to the rich ethnic, social, religious, and cultural diversity that our beloved country treasures—all infused with the vitality of teenagers.
