About
AN ECO-SOCIAL PHILOSOPHER & CATHOLIC THEOLOGIAN and the author of more than 20 books, Joe Holland addresses the intertwined ecological, societal, and spiritual breakdowns of Modern Western Industrial-Colonial Civilization and Modern Western Psychological-Individualist Spirituality. Correlatively, he promotes the emerging Postmodern Global Ecological Renaissance. This Renaissance calls for new global ecological-humanistic civilization and a new global ecologically mystical spirituality and that draws on ancient indigenous eco-spiritual wisdom traditions and new holistic frontiers in Science and takes root in all world religions.
Featured Work
POSTMODERN ECOLOGICAL SPIRITUALITY
This book explores the late-modern breakdowns of both civilization and spirituality. It correlates the social and ecological breakdown of Modern Industrial Civilization with the deeper cultural breakdown of Modern Psychological Spirituality, which is found in both Catholic and Protestant forms, as well as in other religious forms. At the same time, it explores the seminal emergence of Postmodern Ecological Spirituality, which is already planting regenerative seeds for a future Postmodern Ecological Civilization.
