Barbara Gayle Austin writes crime fiction with a psychological edge. Originally from Texas, she spent years in finance, working for international companies in Europe, before turning to writing full-time. She now lives in Amsterdam with her two children and their dog. Her debut thriller, What You Made Me Do, was longlisted for the esteemed Crime Writers’ Association Debut Dagger under its original title Lowlands. Her short fiction has also been longlisted for the Margery Allingham and Aestas competitions. Austin is a member of the CWA, MWA, and ITW.
