About
Ronald Mendell currently teaches Information Security at Western Governors University. Previously, he taught the subject at Austin Community College in Austin, Texas. A graduate of the University of the State of New York (Excelsior College) in Liberal Studies, he earned a Masters degree in Network Security from Capitol Technical University. Prior to becoming an educator, he worked thirteen years as a legal and private investigator and worked in the high-tech sector troubleshooting databases.
Ron is an author of several books on security, investigations, and computer-based crimes. The titles include Probing into Cold Cases, How To Do Financial Asset Investigations, and The Quiet Threat about industrial espionage in America. His current project involves a book on how consumers can protect their information in the Age of AI.
