Dee Latson-Graham is an author, emerging screenwriter, and filmmaker with a professional background spanning more than two decades in public service, an experience that provided firsthand insight into human behavior, trauma, resilience, and emotional complexities.

A writer since high school and originally a journalism major, Dee always maintained a passion for storytelling, later earning a degree in Criminal Justice and spending more than 20 years in law enforcement. Following her retirement, she returned to her foundation in writing and storytelling, channeling her experiences into emotionally grounded, character-driven work.

She is the author of the debut novel, The Hand Life Dealt, which she is currently adapting for the screen. The story centers on redemption, healing, and the lasting impact of personal choices. Drawing from both personal insight and professional experience, Dee creates compelling narratives that resonate deeply with audiences while shedding light on realities often left unspoken.
