Dee Latson-Graham is an author, screenwriter, and producer whose professional background includes more than two decades in public service, a career that provided her with firsthand insight into human behavior, trauma, resilience, and the complexities of the human experience.

A writer since high school and originally a journalism major, Dee maintained her passion for storytelling while pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice and building a career in law enforcement. During that career, she returned to her roots in writing, channeling her experiences and observations into emotionally grounded, character-driven stories.

Her renewed focus on storytelling led to the publication of her debut novel, The Hand Life Dealt, and later to screenwriting, with the completion of a feature-length screenplay adapted from the novel. As her creative work expanded from literature into film, Dee established As Told By Dee, LLC as a platform for developing authentic, purpose-driven stories across both literature and film.
