Samuel Ernest is a writer, theologian, and publisher based in New Haven, CT. He has a PhD in religious studies from Yale University and is the founding publisher and editor in chief of Homodoxy, a press for gay/queer/trans theology and literature. Sam's creative nonfiction has been featured in Longreads and Roxane Gay's Emerging Writer Series at the Audacity. His academic writing has been published in Literature and Theology. Across genres, he writes on the connections between gay sexuality and theology. His academic work focuses on recovering the history of gay theology and HIV/AIDS.
