Richard Galant is executive producer of Now It's History, a newsletter and podcast platform, and a Senior Fellow at New America. He founded CNN Opinion and served as its managing editor. Galant led two Pulitzer Prize-winning teams at Newsday and New York Newsday, where he served as managing editor. A graduate of Oxford University and Brandeis University, Galant began his career as a reporter at Newsday, where he later became metro editor, assistant managing editor for business and investigations and business columnist. He edited "Rush to Burn", published by Island Press.
