About
I am a Professor at UC Davis studying genome variation among individuals in human and other natural populations of organisms. I primarily develop mathematical theory, statistical methods and computer software for analyzing genome sequences from populations. At UC Davis, I teach courses on "Human Genetic Variation" and "Computational Genetics." I regularly lecture in international courses on "Computational Molecular Evolution" at Hinxton, UK (Welcome Trust) and Crete (EMBO). I have published numerous papers in academic journals and contributed chapters to edited volumes. I am currently working on my first technical book entitled "Population Genomics: A User's Guide."
