About
I'm a retired Captain, U.S. Army Nurse Corps, and specialized in NICU and pediatrics during my clinical nursing career. I also earned a bachelor's degree in print journalism and during my journalism career was senior editor of the former nursing magazine, California Nursing Review, a bimonthly publication provided free-of-charge to more than 236K California RNs. I also worked as a medical writer in the pharmaceutical industry and earned certification as a medical writer and editor from the American Medical Writers Association. Regarding fiction, I've had short stories published by online magazines and self-published a short story collection, The Grey Forest. I also published a journalism case study dedicated to journalism students. I'm currently writing a historical fiction novel.
