Dr. Patricia O. Quinn is a developmental pediatrician and international authority on ADHD, with a special focus on the challenges faced by girls and women. In 1999, she began writing about the issues of hormonal fluctuations and estrogen as they relate to ADHD symptoms and the effectiveness of ADHD medications in women. Her pioneering research on how hormonal changes affect ADHD symptoms has helped shape research and treatment approaches for women
worldwide. She has authored several influential books on the topic of ADHD in girls and
women, such as Understanding Girls with ADHD, 100 Questions and Answers on ADHD in
Girls and Women, and Understanding ADHD in Women. In recognition of her work, she
received the CHADD Hall of Fame Award in 2000. Dr. Quinn continues to educate and support individuals with ADHD through her writing and advocacy
