MICKEY MIDDLETON LANE is an American author who has written plays, musicals, and novels for all ages under multiple pen names.

She spent most of her life in Florida where she became involved with animal rescue and served on the board of a local animal shelter, leading to her development of the Boundless Boarders Dog Detectives mysteries which she writes as Mickey M. Lane with her collaborating husband John H. Lane.

A retired educator who won the Florida Center for Teachers Award given by the Florida Humanities Council, she is certified by the prestigious Renaissance Learning Systems, Inc. as an Accelerated Reader Model and Master Class instructor and developed a highly acclaimed interactive sing-along system to promote reading fluency. She tapped into this background while writing her education-based thriller under the name M. M. Busby.

An avid puzzle solver, mystery buff, and self-proclaimed foodie, she combines her talents into one large pot to stew up her Holmes and Watson Culinary Whodunits as Michelle Busby.

Her association with indigenous Native tribes as Mickey MorningGlory made her “a friend of many fires” and inspired her creation of The Trackers Series multicultural paranormal mystery books featuring Native Americans from different tribes.

Mickey belongs to Editorial Freelancers Association, Women's Fiction Writers Association (WFWA), Sisters in Crime (SinC), Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), American Copy Editors Society (ACES), the National Association of Independent Writers and Editors (NAIWE), and the Author's Guild.
