About
"As a child growing up in rural Mississippi, books became my best friends. I've found comfort, motivation, and a broad view of the world between those book covers. Reading and writing now share equally in my life. My latest book, THE OTHER TWO-FIFTHS, is a ten-year endeavor to share history, and part of my experiences in the fight for equality." I won first place in 2003 of the Ebony magazine short story contest (Gertrude Johnson Williams Literary Contest) having published my first novel Legacy in 2002.
