About
Lynnette Beers is the author of four novels: Uncharted Waters, Caught Inside, Saving Sam, and Just Beyond the Shining River. She has finished writing a fifth novel, a historical romance set in Hawaii in the mid-1940s. When she writes her novels, she tries to immerse herself in the locations where her books take place—be it London, Hawaii, San Diego, Southern Mississippi, or Hawaii. Lynnette has an MFA in fiction writing from Chapman University and teaches writing and literature at a community college in Southern California. She's very involved with the writing community; she occasionally teaches writing workshops and is on author panels at writer's conferences. A few years ago, she was a writer in residence on the island of Molokai and spent a month connecting with the locals and immersing herself in Hawaiian culture.
