Rebecca Norris Resnick is an award-winning writer and filmmaker, currently in Atlanta. Specializing in comedy, Rebecca trained at the Second City Conservatory in Chicago, the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles, and was a company member at the Acme Comedy Theater in Los Angeles. Film writing and producing credits include features CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF SUNSHINE, distributed by Indie Rights/House Lights Media, INTERFACE, distributed by Gravitas Ventures, and the shorts ON BECOMING A MAN and DOODLES, all available on streaming platforms including Apple TV, Prime, and Tubi. Stage credits include UNBURIED, a semi-finalist for the National Playwright's Conference at the O'Neill, and MISFORTUNE COOKIES, which premiered at New World Stages in NYC in the Disney Television Discovers showcase.
Rebecca has also written nearly 100 articles for Script Magazine on the crafts of writing and filmmaking, and teaches a number of classes and tutorials for Writer's Digest University.
Inspired by her hilarious first grader, Rebecca started writing for children, and is currently developing YA, middle grade, and picture book projects. In her spare time, she loves waterfall hikes, chasing her wily tuxedo cat, Sox, and searching for the perfect macaroni and cheese.
