Rajesh Kaushik is a senior human resources and organizational development professional whose career spans more than three decades across the United States, Asia, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Known for his listening-centered leadership style and collaborative approach, he builds high-trust cultures where people feel respected, energized, and motivated to perform at their best. His work integrates human resources strategy, organizational development, and cultural transformation to strengthen institutions while improving operational outcomes.

Currently serving with the City & County of San Francisco, Department of Public Health, Rajesh specializes in labor relations, discipline, and complex employee relations matters within a highly regulated public-sector environment. His work focuses on fairness, policy integrity, and strengthening trust between management and workforce stakeholders.

Previously, Rajesh served as Senior Executive Vice President – HR, IR & Administration with a global Petrochemical and industrial conglomerate, where he led HR strategy for over 25,000 employees across multiple continents. He played a central role in organizational transformation, cross-cultural integration, leadership development, and the creation of high-performance work systems. His initiatives contributed to industry recognition for HR excellence and helped unify workforces across newly acquired public-sector enterprises in Egypt and Nigeria. During his tenure, he supported crisis response efforts after employees were abducted by militants in Nigeria and later rescued, reinforcing their sense of safety and restoring confidence so they could continue working with the organization.
Later as Head of Human Resources one of Asia's largest conglomerates in Indonesia, Rajesh helped establish HR systems for one of the world’s largest pulp and paper mills and successfully negotiated union settlements within months of joining. Earlier in his career, he started with the Tata group in Bengaluru in India and then held senior HR leadership roles across multinational corporations and consulting engagements, guiding organizational restructuring, talent development, and cultural alignment initiatives.

Rajesh is the author of Transferring Skills through Employee Development and is currently writing "Anatomy of Leadership – 101 Elements of a Leader", a work exploring the human dimensions of leadership effectiveness. He holds a Master’s degree in Social Work (HR specialization), a law degree, and certifications in leadership and HRD auditing. Fluent in multiple languages and experienced across diverse cultures, he brings a global perspective to leadership, ethics, and organizational resilience.
