About
Rola is a retired pharmacist who educated students, healthcare professionals, and the public in British Columbia and across Canada on a variety of medication and herbal related topics. She studied and later taught at the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and served as Director of Medication Info BC for a decade. During this time, she spoke at conferences, participated in expert panels on health-related issues nationwide, and was a regular guest on radio – Such as House Calls syndicated show and television, such as BCTV and CBC.
After the completion of her third maternity leave, Rola decided to stay home and parent her children and also delved into some business ventures with her husband. She also dedicated hundreds of volunteer hours to the public school system in her city of West Vancouver, holding numerous roles, including Chair of the Parent Advisory Council (PAC) for five years. As the Chair of the Parent Education Committee with the District (PAC) of West Vancouver Schools, she coordinated events that brought well-known published authors and parenting experts to the district, hosting large forums. Among the guests she was most honored to host were renowned parenting expert and author of many books including Kids are Worth It, Barbara Coloroso; Dr. Leonard Sax, author of Boys Adrift and Girls on the Edge; and Gail Vaz-Oxlade, host of Til Debt Do Us Part.
Rola lives in West Vancouver, British Columbia, with her husband Andrew and their three sons.
