About
S.A. Hoie is an emerging author of young adult fantasy and science fiction whose work blends imaginative worlds with emotionally grounded, character-focused storytelling. Her fiction centers on middle- and high-school–aged characters, often featuring resilient female leads who are thoughtful, morally grounded, and guided by kindness in the face of uncertainty.
She is currently developing an eight-book series that begins with The School on June Mountain, about orphaned twin sisters attending a secluded boarding school where secrets run deep. She is also web posting her novella The Darkest Night, sharing new chapters weekly. The story follows an eighth-grade girl whose life changes when she discovers her mother’s parents may not be as “lost” as she believed.
S.A. Hoie lives in San Diego, California, and is actively working toward publishing her first novel while continuing to expand her interconnected young adult series.
