About

I have lived most of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area. Have worked as a college Spanish teacher, translator, tour guide, classical guitarist and genealogist. PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures from UC Berkeley. Published my first novel, Home So Far Away, a fictional diary of a distant relative who volunteered in the Spanish Civil War from Berlin as a nurse and translator, when I was 83. Have sung in various choral groups, currently with the San Francisco Bach Choir. Am now completing the first draft of a biographical novel about another distant relative, a writer from a wealthy family who became a Communist and reported on the Spanish Civil War. I live with my husband in San Francisco and have three daughters and three grandsons.
