Ron is the author of three interconnected thriller novels: A New World (2025), Liberty and Justice For (2024), and Privileges and Immunities (2021). He is an attorney-mediator and a professor in pretirement, teaching ethics, legalities and Medical Spanish. Ron has been married to María Josefa Scott (author, Inside Pepi's Kitchen, An Andalusian Treasure, My Favorite Spanish Recipes (2021) for 52+ years. Together, they love to travel the world, meet people, and make and retain friends. Ron and Pepi reside in sleepy Cibolo, Texas, twenty miles north of San Antonio.

A New World
The members of the circle of friends are at the point of retiring in January 2029. The world is in chaos as nations of the Northern Hemisphere are battling one another and repressing their own populations. The friends decide to undertake what is nominally billed as a celebration cruise to Antarctica and South America. A set of tragic events extinguish any hope of their returning home. They settle in Santiago, Chile, where they secure new jobs and confront violence and death as they strive to solve a decades-old mystery and save an innocent life.
