I have decades of experience as a songwriter, poet, and essayist. Under the name Vanessa Cardui, my writing has appeared in On Spec Magazine (#106, 2017) and two anthologies from Laksa Media (Shades Within Us, 2018 and Seasons Between Us, 2021). My poem “How My Life Will End” was nominated for an Aurora award for Best Poem/Song in 2019. I am a member of GetABookDeal101’s private writers’ group Pitch to Published. I am seeking representation for my debut novel, A YOUNG MAN'S EDUCATION (Upmarket/Literary Fiction). Ask me about my four works in progress: THE MARSH HOUSE (Upmarket/Literary Fiction), THE LAST WILLOW (Historical Fantasy), WIZ KIDS HOMESCHOOL (Middle Grade Fantasy), and ALIENS (Domestic Suspense).
