Born in Phoenix, raised in Arizona and the Philippines. Graduated from Arizona State University (BA) and the University of Arizona (MLS). Worked in libraries since 1966. Academic systems librarian since 1990 in New York and Connecticut. Written more than 70 articles in the library field and authored three books.
