About
I am best known as half of the team that writes "The Little SAS Book" series. I learned SAS in graduate school, and quickly discovered that data analysis is fun! So after I completed my degree, I bluffed my way into a job as a SAS programmer, and - as they say - never looked back. At every job I had, I found myself answering my colleagues' questions about SAS programming. I saw the problems people ran into, and where they got stuck. Before long I had started an in-house SAS users' group and begun teaching SAS classes. So when Lora Delwiche asked if I would like to write a book on SAS programming with her, I already had a lot of ideas about what the book should be like. The First Edition of "The Little SAS Book" was published in 1995. Since then a lot of people have told me that "The Little SAS Book" made it possible for them to get their first job. As far as I'm concerned, that's the highest compliment an author can receive.
